HoneyDoList

All guys have them and there's nothing we can do about it. It's just a fact of life. My method of resolving the items on my list works well for my work habits, but probably isn't doing wonders for our relationship. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we have anything to worry about, but I know it is frustrating for her.

Perfect example: I cut down about 5 trees in my side yard about a month ago. Most of them got thrown down the ravine, but a few lucky ones got dragged to the side of the house for me to cut up at a later date for firewood. My reasoning is that they are laying on the side of the house that no one ever goes to and never sees and wouldn't be an issue if I wait till fall when it cools down to chop them up. Apparently, I was wrong. After a conversation I had with my wife a couple days ago, I think I will be out there tomorrow.

I am a self-proclaimed procrastinator, and the HoneyDoList is the first thing that I procrastinate. I know I need to change that, but it's hard for this leopard to change it's spots.

Why do today what you can do tomorrow? Spend time with your kids..that is more important!

Would you ever want to look back on your life and say...I should have spent more time with my kids, I don't even know them, they don't know me...where did the time go?

Spend time with your wife...your kids...by yourself. I need firewood..and if it's not chopped up already...we will come over and do it...pay you a 4 pack of Caffrey's to take the wood with us. Let me know how that sounds.

Yeah! You live :) I'm with G on this one, spend time w/the boys, firewood can wait til they're back in school or daycare.

Firewood, smirewood...get that closet door hung yet? is your foyer tile trim done? Man, there's bigger fish to fry than firewood.

Of course, my honey-do list right now is try to fit yet another hour into my XBox time every night. Not sure where I'll find the time, guess I'll have to watch less TV.

No, the closet door has not been hung yet. I have to shave about a 1/2 inch off the bottom of it. The foyer trim is done. Those trees are still lying beside the house.
