T-Mobile vs the rest

I've had my personal cell phone through T-Mobile for a little over a year now. All in all, the service has been exactly what I expected. I get great reception pretty much anywhere I go. However, over the past few months, I have really started to notice that the phone selection through T-Mobile is lacking behind other US mobile phone companies. It seams the other companies, most notably Cingular and Verizon, are entering into exclusive agreements to provide special phones with added functionality and/or marketing appeal. My contract is expired with T-Mobile and I am considering leaving for one of these other companies for the sole reason of the ability to get the new "IT" phone. The one thing holding me back, is the reliability I have enjoyed with my current service. I guess there is something to be said for just staying the course, just ask our President. By doing so, I have the flexibility of jumping on any really great opportunities that may arise with any mobile company.

It also depends on where you live. I have had Cingular for quite some time now and it took me a while to pick between it or verizon. Cingular has No roaming charges and rollerover (lose minutes after 1 year) but having the rollerover is still very good. Cingular also has a SIM card that allows you to use your phone in over 200 countries. I have not had a dropped call since I have been using Cingular and they update their phones a lot (like the new iPhone). My best bet would be to go with Cingular.

The one major downside of Cingular: They are the new ATT, who has a tendency to give out home phone service to deadbeats in Chicago in my name. When said deadbeat doesn't pay their bill, my credit goes to the crapper.
