Pinewood Derby Races

My step-son had his first Pinewood Derby race today. What a great project of these young boys to participate in. The races have an interesting history, but instead of me telling you about it, you can click for yourself. We didn't have the fastest car by any means, but he did win for the "Most Unusual Design". He is so proud that he has won his first trophy. Next year, maybe we will design for speed. As this was my first Pinewood Derby race too, I had no idea of what to expect. Next year I'll find a site that gives secrets and winning tips for a faster car. The cub scouts organization and all the other spectators really impressed me with making every scout feel proud about their car and design. If anyone out there has a son in the 2nd to 4th grade levels, I would encourage you to get them interested in the Boy Scouts of America.
