Thanksgiving turkey

Well, it was confirmed once again that my favorite prepared turkey is when it is deep fried. The down side to this is that the task of cooking the turkey then falls on my lap. There are no shortages of recipes for deep fried turkeys on the web. I went the easy route and just bought a pre-made marinade that came with and injector. My method went something like this:

1. Inject turkey with marinade.
2. Heat peanut oil to 350 degrees.
3. CAREFULLY lower turkey into oil and cook for 3.5 minutes per pound.
4. CAREFULLY remove turkey from oil.
5. Carve & eat.

It turned out so well, I'm buying another turkey & marinade today to get more use out of the peanut oil.
