Home Appliance virus

I seem to have a virus spreading through all my home appliances. Last year, my water softener decided to give up and stop running. I didn't do anything about it, but just let it sit there idle in my basement. Early this year, my dishwasher stopped cleaning the dishes. I have a feeling it was due to me not fixing the softener, so there was a lot of buildup in the washer. I replaced enough parts in the dishwasher to get it working again. So I'm in my basement the first week of July and there is a bunch of water all around my water heater. Great! Just what I need. Luckily, I had just quite my job and had the extra paycheck that covered my unused vacation time from DG burning a hole in my pocket, or water heater as it turns out. I go to Lowes to buy a water heater and softener, see that story here. I get the water heater installed by a professional and I install the softener myself. Great, now all appliances are now working. I should have knocked on wood. I try to turn my A/C on this past Monday and it blows out air from all the vents. Now since I normally like my A/C unit to blow out cold air, I now have another broken appliance. Well that just got installed today and I am now sitting in my nice cool house. All my appliances are now operational. Uh-oh. Did I just hear something break. I better go knock on wood. Anyone want to trade appliances? I have a fridge, stove, washer & dryer that are sure to go out at some point in the next few months if they stay in my house.
